EoE Bomb?
I've been playing in HA for a bit now, and i have just been wondering how to counter an EoE bomb, especially in a balanced build. some suggestion's other then moving away from the spirit?

put a prot spirt on someone, interput the ranger, put vital blessing onsomeone, hands or mark of prot, best way is to look at there moral as it will indicate something usually

1. frozen soil so the rezmer cant rez
2. good heal party monk
3. keep enough people out of range to that you can rez those that do die - the eoe team will be DP'ed out after 2 sacrifices, use this to your advantage.
4. check morale pre-fight, you can usually see when you are facing a eoe bomb

so here are some reasonable solutions that a team has available.
as lorein said if you know its eoe bomb make sure someone is out of eoe range
also you should identify who is going to have light of dwayna and if you are a spike team you can spike him down and then its pretty much over, for balanced well throw everything you got at em.
knockdown could work but they are probably prepared for that. heal party will not stop a eoe bomb and neither will prot spirit. Running away is the best option.

We always just gale their ranger, works 99% of the time
Also get a monk to slap seed on the warrior so he can survive and kill their last remaining person if things go wrong.
Some teams will put a spell breaker on their ranger or something, then just use the seed thing which your heal monk should have done anyway.

The best Eoe bombs dont let you realise they are edge bomb until its too late. Its a bit of a tell when they all run towards you in unison, all about 5mm behind the rezmer.

here the solution
As soon you see someone trying drop EoE interupt him.
If the ranger is a r/me use shock or gale if he is r/w use a mesmer interupt or hope your attack interupt get lucky.
if nothing still work you can try to kill EoE before kill everone

Prot spirit would not work. since dmg is only 43 dmg roughly. 10% of an average 480. 48 damage. Prot spirit would be useless

Fertile helps too.. even though the damage can higher then your health + fertile sometimes.. but you have a chance to survive it then..

fertile doesnt help, a real edge bomb does ~800 damage after both their sac's
and if you face a REAL edge bomb they will MAKE DAMNED SURE you cannot interrupt the eoe! wake up people! they know they are edge bomb, they know you will know they are edge bomb and will prepare before hand.
done right the only solution is getting out of spirit range, or if you are really fast a lucky seed.
this is why eoe needs to be adjusted, The spirit should take damage every time it it does damage that way eoe cannot dish out thousands of armor ignoring damage, its rediculous

I think that EOE bomb doesnt need to be adjusted, because if you are able to survive the initial EoE, you will not have a hard time killing them, as they will have dp. the key is to take out EoE. theres a reason you don't often see pure EoE bombs win halls, once in a while an iway or another type of team will win by eoe, but that usually isn't their primary attack.

real eoe bomb does do full team kills not one, and 43*7*2=602 damage. at which point people on teh other team die and add to the carnage

i enjoy bringing a lvl 1 eoe just to lay it when they get theirs down to reduce the damage given by their eoe... this when i do r-spike btw. seems to work more than not anyway. then they all kill themselves and everyone on our team has taken a small amount of damage, at which point its time to use savage/punishing on the rezmer while another ranger uses frozen soil. then we kill the hero, go back for the wee little rezmer and end it. doesnt always work, of course, but when it does, mmm boy.

I don't think eoe bombs are enough of a threat to most teams to waste a skill slot on a weak eoe as a counter, not to mention it will hurt your other sirits to be spec'd so low.

IWAY EoE bomb is really painful alot of the times, a lvl 1 EoE would help with that, and it is a priority since every 3rd team is probably IWAY or some modded form of it.
